Start Your New Year with a Healthy Shopping List


1.  Almonds and other nuts, dry roasted or boiled
2.  Beans and other legumes
3.  Spinach and Other Green Vegetables
4.  Dairy Products Fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese
5.  Instant oatmeal
6.  Eggs or egg beaters
7.  Turkey and other lean meats. Fish, poultry and some quality red meat
8.  Peanut butter natural no sugar or salt added
9.  Olive oil
10. Whole grain breads and cereals including whole rice and whole wheat pasta
11. Protein powder; buy whey not soy.
12. Raspberries and other berries, citrus fruit and bananas
